| C3 Environmental Policy |
C3 Flooring specifies, supplies and installs a wide variety of flooring materials to commercial customers.
C3 recognises that most of its commercial activities result in some impact to the environment.
We are committed to environmental excellence and continuous improvement in our environmental performance.
This policy applies to all activities undertaken by C3. We will:
- Meet, and where appropriate exceed, all relevant UK, European and International
environmental legislation and regulatory codes of practice.
- Minimise the amount of waste generated by our operations and ensure that surplus materials
are reused or recycled wherever possible, or disposed of responsibly.
- Specify and encourage the use of recycled materials or materials with a high recycled
content where they meet the appropriate performance standards.
- Specify products and materials that are manufactured and distributed by environmentally
compliant suppliers, giving preference to products, which can most readily be reused or
recycled when replaced. Additionally encourage use of durable products that eliminate or
reduce repetitive maintenance and the need for replacement.
- Select suppliers and subcontractors with regard to their environmental performance.
- Avoid the use of threatened species of timber and specify materials from accredited
sustainable sources.
- Establish recycling schemes for all our office and warehouse waste.
- Establish green travel plans for all C3 staff with regard to both commuting and business
journeys, minimising unnecessary travel using appropriate technology such as video
conferencing and regular home-working by office staff.
- Regularly review all of our activities, operations and procedures to identify, quantify and
evaluate their environmental impact and set priorities for addressing these.
